Hej from Vancouver, Canada. I'm a member of the Outer Rim Garrison and will likely be moving to Copenhagen with my family in the summer. Would be grateful to connect with someone who has kids regarding family friendly neighborhoods.

Cheers,
Christian

Hey Christian
Where in CPH? 'cause we have CPH and then something called "Big CPH".

Could you be more specific?

Sincerly Ulrich

Hi Ulrich,

Good question. Not sure what CPH includes but my office would be right downtown Copenhagen. That said, as we have our children with us, we are looking for some advice on which neighborhoods might be more family and also expat friendly.
Cheers,
Christian

Hi Christian, and welcome!

I believe what Ulrich is referring to is this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban_area_of_Copenhagen
and
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copenhagen

Mind you, I am not from Copenhagen or close to it so I could be very wrong. Please correct me if I am :)

Welcome to Denmark :)
I have no idea where to send you either i'm afraid, but we have local troopers in Copenhagen.
Hopefully we can meet sometime :)

I'll be moving near Copenhagen myself in April. Maybe we can figure something out :)

That makes sense. I will definitely be close to Copenhagen, but really depends on where we find housing as I've heard this can be a challenge at times. Really looking forward to Trooping with you guys though. I've had an amazing time with the Outer Rim Garrison and was even involved in the making of this fanfilm:

That would be great. I'll reach out once we're settled in around late August.

Could someone also connect me with the CO or member coordinator as I'll have to figure out how to transfer to the DG to get access to member forums etc. Do you have a DG website or is most communication done through this forum?

Thanks for all your help so far,
Christian

CO here!

Per the Operations protocol, there are two options:
If a member physically moves to another Unit's geographical boundaries:
-The member may request the LCOG for Transfer without further Agreement of any Unit's CO as a simple administrative task, a notification will be sent to the involved Unit's COs by the LCOG Office.
-or-
The Unit's CO may request the LCOG for Transfer, in which case the LCOG needs to determine whether transfer is necessary after hearing the member on the matter. If the LCOG decides the member should be transferred, a notification will be sent to the involved Unit Leaders by the LCOG Office.
Let me know if you want me to send the LCOG a message, or if you'd prefer to do so yourself.

The DG website is just DanishGarrison.dk. Once you're transferred, I'll get the rest sorted out for you.
